Pros

This is a great part-time position that allows you to telecommute and meet great people when working in the field interviewing clients.

Cons

I really don't have a downside opinion because of the autonomy the position provides. You are responsible for your own success or failure as a field representative.

Pros

I cannot think of any reasons someone would want to work for this organization. Many people say the Westat name looks good on your resume. Other than that, there is no good reason to work here.

Cons

Not a great place to work. Communication is awful. Overworked, underpaid. No real growth opportunities; management places you where they think you should be. I would not recommend Westat as a place to work.

Pros

The atmosphere is pretty good and nice facilities. Decent benefits program as well a liberal approach to independant work. Able to work independant schedule

Cons

To the Senior Study Director. You must work on a unique project. I was in a satelite site for five years. Great people, great work, supportive atmosphere. Recieved outstanding reviews. Since arriving at The Main campus I have to agree with a lot of the reviews on here. No support, no training, no interaction with anyone. I was shown my ( temporary office, and that was the last time anyone took the time to acclimate me. As far as losing jobs after project, you must not be aware of all of the layoffs form the MEPS project. Over 200 people. Plus the layoffs from the NCS project. Most of us are told trhat everything is temporary and no promises. I was laid off in May re-hired in June.Your posting unfortunately sounds like a recruiting ad. Soory, no disrespect, but true. That seems to be the problem here. No sense of reality. I have to be honest I loved this company and was ready to stay for good.
