Pros
Flexible schedule, the work is easy when you can find someone to participate in the study. My supervisor is supportive, and they seemed pressured to get data collectors to make unethical practice decisions by their bosses.
Cons
Low pay and wants you to work more hours than they hire you for (part-time). Not doing that as it was the only reason I applied for the job. I received a mail letter asking me to work longer. Pressure to harass people that don't want to participate in the study and pressure to go into unsafe areas. This company wants you to be a private investigator to find selected participants and not only harass them but harass unsuspected neighbors. There is no regard for the study participants' concerns regarding their health, considering many do not want to partake due to covid (older population, so I understand). It's even suggested you camp out in front of participants' homes and watch their homes. They have very unethical tactics in getting people to do the study, one being telling SP that I am threatened to lose my job if they don't participate. I must lie to people about how long the study takes, and many refuse to finish because of that. This is a sales position, and they only care about numbers. No health and no protection for data collectors. They will threaten not to give you SPs to make you quit because you won't bend to their threats of unethical practices. Lots of driving to stalk people. I was threatened to have the cops call on me for trespassing on the selected participant's property after t they mentioned that they did not want to participate in a previous visit with someone else.
