Good people but poor leadership and outdated processes

Used to be a good company to work for. People are mostly good Former Chief HR exec is gone.

Cons

Lack of leadership support. Every presentation by the CEO is a master class in Gaslighting. Processes follow the Wheels credo of "The way we've always done things" instead of true improvement. Bonus program has been changed so that the ELT has more discretionary control over the payout Good talent is walking out the door because they aren't being allowed to fix the problems. CIO is clueless on what's going on in IT and doesn't have the leadership skills to fix the problems. Outsourcing to India and the Philippines is going to continue, resulting in more US and Canadian jobs being eliminated.

Difficult Merger with Lack of Direction and Support from Manager

Decent benefits, there were employees I really liked working with and looked up to.

Cons

Was originally a Donlen employee and was really content with my job at the time. The merger of Donlen and Leaseplan was quite difficult, and I felt there was little direction from upper management. After the merger, I did not feel supported in my role and not appreciated. Always appeared to be looked down because I was an employee from a legacy company. I saw a lot of favoritism in my department but also just a general lack of enthusiasm to get things done in an effective way. Not many growth opportunities either. Shortly before leaving, it became unbearable to work well with manager due to micromanagement.
