Pros

The workplace has a relaxed environment. People are friendly and your supervisors are ready to help you in most situations. The city of St. Joseph is beautiful and its a good place to hang out, especially in the summers. Most people leave from work early on Friday.

Cons

Work environment is not very challenging. Time spent writing documents before testing can be done is too much. Overall, the company moves slow being one of the biggest appliance maker. It could improve much by changing the way the current system works to make the processes faster and the company agile

Pros

Great products; Best in the industry. Its good to work for a winner. They have great benefits and generally try to do the right thing for their employees.

Cons

We are so big that we are inefficient. A lot gets lost in the shuffle and that includes people. People dont have time to do the things that really affect the bottom line becuase they are off havng meetings about meetings. Really need a consulting group to streamline corporate and make a better connection to those out in the field. Also, there is no real accountablility...a lot of passing the buck. A lot of underused talent.

Pros

Friendly people, lots of potential for improvement, #1 home appliances company in the world. This is a good place to work if you have a family and don't need a lot of professional growth. If you are young and ambitious, this probably isn't the right place for you.

Cons

Conservative environment, poor innovation, IT staff are way behind the curve, could become the next GM if they don't change their ways. Oh and did I mention they are extremely conservative and hate change like cats hate water? Well, they are. A common theme is "this is how we've always done it. why change? what's the value? what's the benefit? change is going to be hard... blah blah blah"
