Pros

Training is pretty good, and some of the people are pretty cool, but they're the exception.

Cons

Too many to list. Many of the staff have a running joke that if we don't see each other one day (someone is sick or on vacation, etc) we're afraid they might be gone. People are let go that quickly and easily and frequently. Some staff and former staff know it's a toxic work environment. With leadership often demeaning employees and changing company policy on a whim. Sending out inappropriate company-wide emails. They don't invest in their people but are quick to dismiss employees who don't bring them significant billing within the first 2-3 months of them being there. Overall just a terrible place to work with no understanding, no company culture because everyone is scared of getting fired and no real growth because you'll probably not be there long enough lol.

Appreciate your post and feedback. As is typical in most sales organizations, turnover happens if the job is not the right fit or the individual is not the right fit for the company. We offer transparency on performance expectations and career trajectories for individuals coming to the organization - customizing goals based on someone joining us with experience vs completely new to the industry. A lot of time was spent within the c-suite as well as our training and development department to create tangible expectations backed by systems and processes with a proven track record of staff success. We have many examples of long-tenured employees that have significantly impacted the growth of our firm in our 7 years in business. As with any growing organization, company policies and communications will evolve to meet the demands of the business and the betterment of our people. We are committed to fostering a professional and high-energy environment where our staff can find both personal and professional growth. We encourage you to speak with your manager if you have value-based concerns regarding company culture.

A Great Place to Work

Pros

Working at WhiteCap provides a great deal of opportunity for anyone who's fortunate enough to spend some time here. The company is growing and expanding quickly which for me, as a sales person with leadership aspirations, is really important. If you're willing to work hard and be consistent, WCS will continuously promote you and give you more & more responsibility while helping you to grow as a professional & training you on how to handle those new responsibilities. The culture is very strong and positive, everyone wants to see each other do well. It's really an electric environment and a fun thing to be a part of, especially in the NYC office. Leadership is strong across the board, stronger than any of the staffing firms I've worked in previously from both aspects of general knowledge of the industry, as well as overall success and proven track records of dominating throughout their careers. If you work here, you'll be surrounded & mentored by people who are all experts in their respective fields. Overall, I'm very glad I made the decision to come here and would recommend it to anyone looking for their forever-home in the staffing/recruiting industry.

Cons

The only real downside of working here isn't specific to WCS, it's just a standard fact of the staffing industry WCS is in- the fact that staffing is hard and not for everyone. You need to be willing to put in the hard work to get the results you want, nothing will be just handed to you, but that's how any job worth doing should be.
