Pros

Its a paycheck and we all need those.

Cons

One of the benefits that most people loved the most was the huge amount of PTO. Now that Deltak has become Wiley, you can't use time until you have accrued it. Meaning, forget taking a week off in January to go someplace warm because you won't have enough vacation time accrued. Basically, you won't have a full week until the third or fourth month of the year. This was one of the greatest benefits to working here. High stress environment, but balanced with time off when you needed a break. There is no paternity leave and the maternity leave is only what is allowed by law. Also, when you return from your maternity leave you will receive a smaller percentage increase in salary at your review due to a penalty for having missed whatever amount of time you missed during your leave. I'm not even sure if that is legal, but they are doing it.

Basically a dead end job

Pros

There is a good work life balance, a lot of PTO days and the chance to work from home every so often.

Cons

The company doesn't have its priorities straight. They'd rather invest in redesigning the building than keep 120 full-time employees. There is also no room for growth in most departments and pay is very low even in the publishing industry
