Pros

Lots of available hours if you want to pick up. A good amount of the staff is friendly. Lots of small perks that are nice to have.

Cons

Management is pretty terrible. They may boast patient centered care, but that's not really the case. Both residents and employees take a back seat to $$$. There's no real sense of teamwork among the nursing staff. Often understaffed.

Pros

There is an amazing sense of family at this organization among both the team members and the residents. I feel like people truly care about me and my family here. The benefits are better than what I've had at most employers, heath insurance for my family is exceptionally inexpensive. The free gym membership is awesome! The leadership team is supportive of the overall company mission and the needs of the employees to be able to effectively and efficiently perform their tasks.

Cons

A harsh winter like we had this past year can be challenging since we are a 24 hour operation and we are open regardless of the weather.

Best Nursing Home in Lancaster County

Pros

Salary was fair but working at Willow Valley is A LOT nicer than 95% of the other nursing homes in Lancaster County PA. Lots of employee discounts for meals and area businesses, free cake for birthday, free turkey dinner at Thanksgiving, nice Christmas bonus, lots of opportunities to pick up extra hours, company strives to keep its facilities clean, neat and renovated. Job opportunities for people of all ages.

Cons

Health insurance plan a bit pricey and per other employees, there used to be a lot of other monetary incentives to pick up extra shifts, higher rates of PTO accrural, benefits offered to employees who work less than full time but I think that's happening everywhere.
