- amazing / gifted people - slack culture

Cons

lies about no layoffs. literally at every all-hands => "there will be no layoffs", "covid was worse and we didn't do layoffs", "layoffs are not happening". then layoffs happened and we realized that the ceo lied and they happened to hire oversees. it's all a money game to them I guess. people become less important when counting cash. I guess that business for ya though, and the business of business is business

I understand and share your frustration about the layoffs -- it's the absolute last thing we wanted to do. Unfortunately there is no way to pre-message layoffs -- that creates even more concern, and unneeded concern if the layoffs don't happen. Layoffs are absolutely brutal to the people impacted and I am sorry we had to do it. - TD

Great Company, maybe the next big tech company

Pros

Great people all around, very wide company instead of a tall company with a focus on its people. rapid growth right now, and just generally a great company. High quality of work, working with some big names.

Cons

So far, I've had very few cons in my year working here. I've moved around a lot between tasks which has been rough, but I think it's been reasonable and partly pushed by me and partly by business needs.
