Pros

none that come to mind

Cons

Office administrator does whatever she can to make the job more difficult to complete by pulling resources randomly when she feels like it. She also likes to start the day by sending nasty unprofessional emails to staff and associates, as she finds joy in bringing bullying to the next level. Managing attorney brightens the day by returning friendly good morning greetings with silence. She will not speak to or even acknowledge staff. During the summer of 2020, employees worked in the building (during the pandemic) with no running water, no A/C and no lights with unmasked construction workers working in the building. During the winter of 2020, there were days with no heat. The attorneys would work from home because it was too cold, but the staff had to stay in the office. Mid pandemic, the office was out of hand soap for 3 days, even though Whole Foods is next door. Employees are told to lie about positive covid results when they have been in the office and in contact with other employees because they don’t want employees to quarantine and work from home. Management wants to see employees working and assumes that all employees are lazy and will slack off if they aren’t micromanaged. The office setup is ‘open and collaborative’ but you’re not allowed to speak to anyone. Cubicles are about 2.5’ wide and the office feels like being in a pressurized airplane all day because of the loud white noise. Software is outdated. The system was even hacked and files were inaccessible for MONTHS, but nobody is allowed to talk about it. They can’t even tell us if employee files were leaked. Maximum raise for staff is 2%. That’s if you get a perfect review, but the attorneys are instructed not to give great reviews because ‘everybody can use some improvement.’ No raises for staff the last two years. Workload is ridiculous. Many of the attorneys are rude and demanding, not caring that each secretary has several attorneys expecting instant turnaround time on projects. Asking for help from office administrator gets no response. Overtime is strictly prohibited, to keep up some staff often work off the clock. Office administrator seems to be fine with the free labor. There is zero communication. Everything is top secret. Attorneys leave and staff isn’t informed, even the staff who worked for the attorney who left. There is no reason to work in an environment this bad. Ever. Run.

Pros

The only pro with Wilson Elser in Orlando is that they are conveniently located in Downtown Orlando. They try to "sell" you on their "benefits" package which is disputably one of the worst benefits packages within the industry.

Cons

There is a serious lack of leadership, training, and support for the business and legal support. There is no "best practices" procedure to follow on daily workflow. The Orlando office lacks vision and leadership within its Corporate Structure.
