Pros

Great company that offers great benefits like paid time off, 20% off rent at any Windsor community, $500 for work clothes, and sometimes free lunches! The training is so much better too now too!

Cons

They promote people only to fill spots that need to be filled. They do a horrible job at recognizing your hard work even if you go above and beyond, and the DM's are so overworked they literally don't bother to get to really know you or your team and they only listen to what your manager says. They used to care about putting people that would work great together at the same office but they could care less now. I once had a problem with a manager and the DM literally told me to get therapy...yeah not very nice and empathic. Also, not a lot for diversity for such a big company, only about 4 people of color work for the company in the whole Denver metro area. Some managers are great others heavily micro manage and have little to now managerial courage and they will not have your back even if they say they do. Some people will throw you under the bus just to get ahead so I would watch out for that

Pros

Take one look at any Windsor property and you'll quickly be able to tell they hire a "type". All young, attractive, outgoing people. I am saying this as a pro because it's very easy to make friends with your coworkers. You are also given $500 semi annually to go shopping.

Cons

Do not trust upper level management. Their follow through is non-existent. There is a horrible lack of communication between upper management and lower level employees. They will promise anything that sounds good, but will not fulfill those promises. The turn around of employees is embarrassing. Rarely anyone stays longer than 1 year.

Pros

The company culture is a close, tight-knit, caring bunch of people. It really shows how much the company cares for us with the numerous perks we receive, support from corporate/upper management as well as the recognition. *Rallies are fun & reward people for their hard work *$500 uniform allowance money (California has an amazing dress code policy that allows us to be modern & comfortable at work and still remain professional) *The company really does promote within ~ they provide opportunities of growth, tons of training (in person, online, webinars, etc) to ensure you have the tools you need to succeed *Upper management/corporate knows their employees. It feels amazing when VP's some to the site levels and know employees by their first names. They really like the time to get to know each of us *Our opinions matter. Someones nothing can be done, sometimes people have old school stubborn traditions, but for the most part, the company is optimistic for change. Windsor welcomes new, fresh, bright ideas and when on board, they are not afraid to implement change. *Lots of emphasis on training and growing our employees *I can't stress this enough, but the people who work for Windsor are amazing.

Cons

-Opportunities may be less in some regions. Without growth and acquiring new properties, new positions do not come available as frequently as some would like (especially if no one is leaving). -Housing discount for tenured employees + Property Managers (see advice below) -There is no flexibility with office schedules + commutes. Living in California is crazy and having the opportunity to lessen a 2+ hour commute would move mountains for some employees. For example, an 8am-5pm or 7am-4pm (so long as there is sufficient staffing for normal business hours) would improve quality of life significantly.
