Pros
- Commendable program areas in environment, WASH, and agriculture that can create long term change and sustainability - Flat organization so team members can get to know their executive department heads very well
Cons
- Zero diversity! Most unit heads are white women who are so destined to "make a difference" they don't care who they steamroll for acknowledgement. As someone who identifies as female, I did not find the amount of women in leadership to be beneficial. Their white privilege leaves them unable to sympathize or recognize anyone who is not like them. This is particularly true in the civil society group where passive aggressiveness and unrealistic expectations, without any support function as the group leadership norm - The costing structure eliminates division of labor so there is absolutely no work life balance. That coupled with the fact that the systems are 20 years behind makes the work 100 times more difficult to accomplish.
