Lots of potential

Pros

Good content, colleagues truly want to do a good job and most work hard. There is a fair amount of flexibility in terms of work location.

Cons

Everybody is overburdened and over scheduled - there are many days when I am on calls for 8 hours straight; when do you actually get your work done? Disparate systems make it hard to get actionable data. Technologically backwards, with many legacy repositories, systems, and processes making innovation impossible at a supportable cost.

A cold and mean management team

Pros

The employees who soldier on regardless of management decisions and actions. Pay and benefits are good.

Cons

The executive management team is driven by cold and mean spirited executives. The company says and projects all the right things on the surface but reality is different. Long term employees are not afforded internal opportunities as reductions in force continually. Not consistent in applying standards to performance. Upper management makes decisions but are unfamiliar with the detailed running of the business and expect middle managers to clean up.

Pros

Benefits package was OK (not excellent), and approximately 30% of management were competent, respectful, and reasonable. Paid time off was very good: 20 days sick and vacation combined, plus 7 holidays. Some great people work for WK-Health, but the best don't stay.

Cons

Salaries are dreadful. Depending which group you work with, constant intense stress can be expected, or you may have problems filling your day. Zero personal development, almost zero growth potential. Most management personnel are arrogant, disrespectful, and blissfully unaware of what it means to produce what they are asking. Huge problems are simply tolerated and walked around, like the elephant in the room, because managers don't know how to solve problems...they apparently excel at Excel, and little else.
