      Pros

      Great starting point for new grads beginning their careers; it's basically like boot camp.

      Cons

      Management will continue to dish out more responsibility and work you to the bone without any sense of appreciation. Raises are not given, employees are not rewarded for good performance. There is no career advancement here. Just work, work, work for the same horrendous salary you started at. Management is completely delusional how to run a successful unit.

      Pros

      Former Foster Wheeler employee so decent pay 4 years ago. The 9-80 schedule is very nice and has not been changed by new management yet.

      Cons

      1 raise in 4 years. As a non Amec employee there is no room for advancement. Amec did not do a good job of integrating the acquisitions it made through the years so the company is very disorganized and there is no consistency from one group to the next. Benefits have been reduced over the years to the point that they are not very competitive.

      Pros

      Option to work from home and somewhat flexible in office time. Good tuition reimbursement program and training/certification opportunities.

      Cons

      Very little opportunity for promotion with no raises for years. They pile on more and more "responsibility" but without the commiserate promotion and raise. Our health insurance is minimal coverage with a large out of pocket expectation.
