Pros
Our office really has a feeling of community. Your job can be great, but if you work with people you don't mesh with or respect work can be miserable. To me, the family atmosphere more than makes up with any cons. I have worked at companies where I was paid more for my position but there was discord all the time and the mental cost was high. I have been with the company since it was Amec Foster Wheeler and I still feel the same sense of community with Wood. The company is flexible with work schedules, and let's staff get involved in all aspects of the business from marketing and budgeting projects to deliverables. I have been able to be involved in more aspects of projects and grown more in my career than Idid with similarly sized companies.
Cons
The salary is below similar-sized competition. Lack of women in management. Difficult to get training approved.
