Pros

If you are a part-time Field Rep, there is no minimum requirement, that is good, unlike other Insurance companies. But bottom line is this is all commission "job", basically you have to think this is your own "business". If you think that way, people are nice and helpful and Woodmen is non-profit, so people are more interested in listening to you.

Cons

If you cannot get out of your "employee" mind set, it is harder. Also Woodmen need more people who can work as a team in Pacific Northwest. Although this is your business, it is good to have people working together and build up the team and share the profit, so that more people will stay.

Pros

Great workforce - people care about the company and the people who are served. Work/Life balance has historically been a primary foundation of the organization.

Cons

In recent years, work/life balance has slipped in some areas.

Pros

Patriotic Company with great values. Great people to work with. Freedom. Really your own boss. Unlimited earning potential. Initial training school is top notch.

Cons

All commission. Must be self motivated and be able to handle time management. Conservative underwriting. Technology is a bit behind. Not much name recognition with younger people.
