Pros

There are many extremely talented people in the ranks at Work & Co. Pay is inline with industry.

Cons

Read up on "Workplace Bullying" if you go to work there. Upper management is deeply unethical, and absolutely will move to fire someone for "quality of work" with absolutely nothing in writing. Nontechnical managers think code is gibberish and it's 100% whose opinion is more powerful. Hope you don't get assigned to report to a narcissist. Ask for all feedback you get in writing, from the start, but you probably won't get it. Totally agree with other reviews, if you are in the "in" crowd, no one will care if your work is bad, if you are in the "out" crowd, nothing you do will be satisfactory. Other details are professed "consensus", except consensus is whatever the person with the direct line to a senior partner thinks. A dangerous place for psychological safety. However, if you are not capable at your job for some reasons, and you want a place where office politicking will protect you from having to do your job, go to Work & Co. Loose management structure hides that there's no accountability. Be careful.

Pros

I learned so much working here. It really is a great experience for folks early on in their careers. Work & Co. is a recognizable, reputable agency and when you move on, there will be a certain level of prestige that comes from having Work & Co. in your work history. Decent pay, great benefits - although some of the nicest benefits have waned as of 2023. Nice offices with snacks and lunches.

Cons

I wholeheartedly agree with the other reviewers - there is definitely an "in" crowd. If you aren't part of that elite group, you won't work on any interesting/meaningful projects or even be acknowledged. Whether you become part of this group feels really arbitrary and in some ways, biased. There's an overall lack of community and camaraderie and a general coldness in the organization. I wondered if some folks at work even knew who I was after being there for years. This doesn't seem like a huge deal at first - work is work, sometimes coworkers don't have great rapport and its not a big deal - but it becomes super discouraging as time goes on. Be ready to continuously feel awkward and uncomfortable in work environments. Nearly impossible to get a promotion or move forward in your career.
