Pros

The people Working for a mission based company The customers

Cons

Comically bad HR processes for an HR tech company - promo and merit cycles are painful, if they happen at all. You never know because... Internal comms all but disappeared in 2025 so no one really knows what's going on. Horribly mismanaged layoffs. They did layoffs in 2023 and treated people with respect. Both those who were let go and those who stayed. Recent layoffs in 2025 were a mess. Employees still there have no work because they're sitting waiting for a reorg 3 weeks later. People crying at their desks.

Thank you for your candid feedback. It’s clear you cared deeply about the people, the mission, and our customers—and we’re truly sorry your experience didn’t reflect the values we aim to live every day. Moments like promotions, communication, and organizational change have a significant impact on trust and belonging. When we fall short, especially during times of transition, it hurts—and we recognize that. We’re working to learn from those moments, including how we support people through change and communicate with greater transparency and consistency. We appreciate your contributions during your time here, and we sincerely wish you the best ahead.

Thank you for sharing your perspective—and for being part of the Workhuman community. Restructures are incredibly difficult, especially in a culture where people feel deeply connected to one another and to our mission. Even when approached with care, these moments can feel deeply personal, and we recognize that. Our annual conference is a strategic pillar of our business and planned independently of organizational changes. That said, we understand the optics and the emotional impact of timing of business changes. We remain committed to supporting our people through change and to doing our best to live our values—not just when it’s easy, but especially when it’s hard. Your voice matters, and we’re listening.
