Pros

WWT stepped up with expanded healthcare PTO. While their healthcare is competitive, it is nowhere near as competitive as it once was. The culture is still good, though now significantly more diluted than previous years. The org structure and infrastructure necessary to go to market is designed to blend the best of many capabilities: infrastructure resale, software development, consulting services, implementation services, lab services, supply chain capabilities, etc. Promotion into leadership is possible. Informal operations training is provided once you are moved into a leadership role.

Cons

Compensation is not competitive among integrators . Dimension Data, Red8, and others pay better. WWT is a private company and cannot/will not offer stock in lieu of competitive wages. It will be difficult to retire from WWT, if you aren't prepared to do so now. Raises are well below cost of living, despite profits and pricing increasing every year. There have been few supports for remote workers related to home office. Training and conference attendance support is vastly reduced and messaging is based on a pending downturn in the economy; however, this has been happening for years. Travel for internal team meetings appears to be non-existent, unless it is in pursuit of client sales or for on-site delivery of services. This is a post-COVID cost-cutting measure and is impacting team cohesion and feelings of belonging. Despite outward messaging to the contrary, there is not an open-door policy related to senior leadership communications. Middle management will come down on you for engaging in any meaningful way with executives. This impacted culture and created insincerely agreeable feedback loops, reducing transparency. The company is struggling with growth, primarily due to hardware availability and is preparing for a recession. Leadership training (short of operations training) isn't formalized, nor extensive.

Thanks. WWT is a privately held company and doesn’t offer stock. We utilize market data from multiple third party compensation organizations to ensure we are always paying competitively. Information on our compensation strategy is available to all employees within United (SharePoint). WWT hasn’t increased the cost of healthcare to employees in almost twenty years. An individual receives full health coverage for just $25 dollars per month. While we do emphasize common-sense responsibility regarding expenses (training, conferences, necessary office equipment, travel, etc.) there are no specific “cost-cutting” initiatives in place. There is also no anticipation of a recession. Individuals are encouraged to interact directly with all our executives (and anyone in leadership) without limitations and we hope you will discuss your concern about this with someone in senior leadership. Thank you.

Pros

- Pay is not bad - Hours range from (35-55) not bad - Health insurance is great

Cons

- Will staff you on a project with nearly 0 training - Directors and leadership are predominantly white males - Provide nearly no positive feedback - Will penalize you for speaking out about issues - Lost over 20 employees recently due to poor culture and poor relative compensation - Limited processes built out and extremely difficult to get support on anything (credit card expenses, travel, new software, etc.) - Promotions are awarded to cultural favorites (those who do not complain or seek to make the organization better) and not to those that do the best work - Company itself often does not know how to structure, staff, or actually do the projects it sells - Consulting organization is so different from the main organization it's hilarious

Thanks for your supportive comments about our benefits. We recognize we have opportunities for improvement in being a Great Place to Work for All. There is a strict “no retaliation” policy when it comes to bringing forward issues and concerns. If you have experienced something contrary to this, please contact an executive immediately. Promotions are based on the abilities and accomplishments of the individual. As you might imagine, we disagree with much of this assessment but appreciate your feedback nonetheless.

Pros

Amazing opportunity to grow and learn in an almost autonomous yet supported work environment.

Cons

Process driven management can lead to losing some of the dynamism that built the company.
