Rinse and Repeat

Pros

WWT has outstanding healthcare coverage, which has not gone up in cost for 20 years. It’s something we take pride in. Overall people treat each other well and with respect. The company has done a lot to avoid business disruption caused by COVID19.

Cons

There is major misalignment in upper leadership regarding roles, responsibilities, and goals which causes dysfunction at the ground level. We waste time trying to negotiate what good looks like because there is no consistency throughout our company. Flexibility is good for our customers but makes timely resource management near to impossible. We are always playing catch-up. Our teams end up being responsible for everything but are compensated as if they are entry level employees. This causes frequent turnover and dips in customer satisfaction. During the time teams are short-staffed remaining team members are pushed past their limits and jobs stay open longer than necessary because the salary offers are very low compared to our competitors. Rinse and repeat. Nothing I’ve said here is new and is common knowledge to everyone but there seems to be no desire to address these things as a company.

Thank you for the positive and constructive feedback. We continuously strive to be a great place to work for everyone. WWT has experienced significant growth over the past several years which often leads to adjusting to changes that come with increased business and the need for supporting our customers. We have been working hard to hire more staff and in developing our infrastructure to accommodate this growth. We regularly evaluate the compensation for all our positions to make sure we are paying competitively for all roles and for all work performed. If you have any questions regarding your individual compensation, please discuss them with your Sr. Manager or HR. Thanks again.

Racism has no place within WWT. You must report something like this immediately to HR, Senior Leadership, and/ or an Executive.

Not that great

Pros

Good benefits once you're hired on, laid back work enviroment for the most part.

Cons

Pay is very sub-par for the kind of work being done in the NAIC buildings. They base pay off of imaginary job titles, and raises are almost non-existent. There is no sick days at all, it gets bundled in with PTO. PTO is also forcibly taken any time you are not at work for any reason at all. I see veteran and experienced techs leaving in large quantities because the people that are brand new are getting paid the exact same amount a vet tech.

Thank you. We combined sick days and vacation several years ago at the request of our employees to provide them more flexibility. It is correct that any existing paid time off must be used prior to an employee is able to go unpaid. This helps manage attendance and ensures no one will lose any unused paid time off at the end of the year. Job titles and job descriptions determine the knowledge, skills, abilities that are required in a role. All our positions are paid competitively based upon market data which WWT purchases from multiple third parties. If you’re interested in a role that pays more and for which you are qualified, we encourage you to look online or speak with a member of the talent acquisition team. Thanks again.
