Pros

- The other designers were great - Sell your soul and beg customers for their business and you may earn a decent wage one month

Cons

- It is literally a COMPULSORY part of EVERYONES training to enrol in Glass Door and write a 5* review. They stop your training for like 15 mins for you to do this. - Don’t expect your days off to be together. - Management advocate you NOT to take a break during 12hour days, in fact they’ll manage your diary so you’re in back to back appointments all day - Management have FAVOURITES and will give you the promising Leads or withhold Leads, depending on your working relationship. Top Sellers are fed the great Leads without lifting a finger. - Aggressive sales environment. The entire showroom got called awful names on a regular basis if targets weren’t hit to say they were not funding the GM’s mortgage. - Have to start 30 mins early without pay for morning meetings on weekends, 15mins weekdays. - You will work so much overtime but never be paid for it. The expectation is that if you sell that kitchen then you get commission. Tough luck if it doesn’t sell - If one of your colleagues steals one of your customers, nothing is done about it. So they will earn the commission even if you did all the work and there’s nothing you can do about it. - You are forced to chase your customers who didn’t buy on their first sit on a weekly basis, it’s frustrating for the customer and you.

Pros

I learned a little about kitchen design and what a business should never do.

Cons

1. Way too much micromanaging. 2. Wren Kitchens UK fails to understand that the USA market is totally different than the UK. They think doing the same things in the USA will make the company successful. It's backfiring badly. 3. Their marketing plan is nonexistent. They refuse to spend what it will take to bring in business. They wanted us to figure out how to do marketing that was free. No wonder why salespeople on commission are sitting around bored to death for 30 of their 40 hours each week. They haven’t learned the concept of “you have to spend money to make money”. 4. They make designers harass customers. If a customer doesn’t buy, designers have to call customers on their next shift and keep calling them until they aren’t interested or bought elsewhere. Voicemail and email don’t count. If a designer can’t reach them, managers call. If they say they aren’t ready, they have to be called again two weeks later when a new promotion comes out. Designers have to use a manager’s cell phone to try again. Customers are ignoring all of it. Threatened to fire designers if they didn’t keep calling people. 5. Management is extremely condescending, rude and ignores any good ideas from employees. 6. The customer care department and installers are terrible. Way too many screwups with customers calling every day to complain. 7. Managers play favorites with leads. Newer designer aren't allowed to get any from the IAs up front, which cuts down on opportunities. 8. Even worse, don’t have a serious health issue. They’ll fire you. A friend of mine had a serious health issue and her doctor told her not to work for 3 months. Wren terminated her after a couple weeks saying her being out would hurt the business. They have tons of labor department complaints for their employee practices in the U.S. Maybe in the UK they can get away with it, but not here.
