      Focus is on shareholders not employees

      Pros

      Lots of opportunities for advancement since decent amount of turnover.

      Cons

      Remote policy taken away. Bonuses probably suspended. Pay raises rumored to be suspended as well not to mention pay is lower than industry standards.

      Interesting work, overall good people except senior management.

      Cons

      Terrible CEO who is super focused on bottom line. Changed the flexible working from home to required office days Tuesday-Thursday. Got rid of performance bonuses to focus O&M cuts. Put in a hiring freeze when teams were short staffed. Xcel doesn’t do anything for its employees due to O&M cuts.

      - Really talented and dedicated employees that want to do the right thing - Flexibility to work from home - Pension and 401k

      Cons

      Leadership continues to make it very challenging to work at Xcel. They cut bonuses to make earnings, on the heels of that have forced employees to return to the office while not saying why even though they acknowledge that productivity is at an all time high (many believe this is to force employees to leave instead of firing people). Leadership constantly talks about strategy while chaos continues and they just bring in another consultant company to "fix" it (where the actual strategy comes from). If you work here you are just a number to leadership as the most prized asset under leaders are FTEs.
