      The work life balance is great at Xcel Energy and the company is moving in a really exciting direction. The work that is done truly makes a difference in the world and there is a strong leadership team.

      Cons

      The tools and pay seem to lag the market.

      Pros

      Very cool to see how a major utility like Xcel is leading the energy sector transition to renewables. Xcel is a great company to work at if you want to be a part of that movement. People that work here are truly passionate about what they do and will put in their all to get the job done.

      Cons

      It is a very large company and so it comes with the normal large company downsides. The environment can be somewhat restricting, and it might be hard to get your ideas to come into fruition, but if you try hard enough you can make it work.
