The most toxic work environment I’ve ever worked in. Management/leadership is extremely disconnected from the workforce. Inexperienced and poor training.

Corporate executives don't care about employees (big talk, no action) Highly regulated so there is a ton of red tape Very complicated with little or poor training Systems are often outdated, hard to get anything streamlined Dull and clickly company culture Poor to no benefits as a contract employee (compensated with higher pay but it doesn't feel like enough compensation)

High pay to bring you in, generous PTO you’ll never get to use.

Cons

Everything. Horrible management, employees are treated as disposable numbers, unethical behavior on both the management and front line sides. I worked with very twisted, weird people at this job, do not recommend! Look for a private utility company, Xcel is slowly going under anyway!
