Pros

May be worth spending a year there as a university graduate to gain some experience with modern technology and learn what to look out for in your next company.

Cons

Silicon Valley-style hustle culture without Silicon Valley-level pay. The culture can feel toxic, with too much focus on visible activity — pull requests, Jira tickets, Slack messages — rather than the quality and real impact of the work being done. Decision-making often feels chaotic, and the company can be very slow to listen to feedback or adjust decisions that are clearly not working. The on-call roster can feel unsustainable, with stressful and nervous shifts. Workload expectations can be unrealistic. Urgent work is often added on top of already planned work, with the expectation that both will still be completed. I also did not find the share component of remuneration particularly valuable. In my case, due to share price depreciation and shares being sold to cover taxes, I ended up receiving much less value than expected.

Pros

Smart colleagues, modern offices, free food

Cons

Product teams are expected to ship features at unrealistic speed with little support from design, research, or data. Customer validation is often skipped, yet teams are blamed if adoption is poor. Very reactive, blame-oriented culture.
