Pros

Work with very intelligent people that can provide you with applicable information from varied areas of experience if they are on-site. Able to work from a remote office.

Cons

Benefits are horrible!!! Medical insurance is a JOKE!!! NO TRAINING!! I make 50% of the market price for my position. I have never met my manager and she does not care about my advancement or well-being. She does not answer questions asked in multiple emails. Outside of my manager, I have no one else to provide input or feedback. All of my fellow employees are in the same boat and say, " As long as I show up and they keep paying me, that is all I care about." The project management teams are dysfunctional and setup to fail. They cannot streamline their processes to repeat for the next project. Xerox PMO's are cavemen reinventing the wheel daily.

Pros

I'm employed for now. Flexible work hours.

Cons

Management cares more about the bottom line and their careers than the staff that works hard to help achieve company goals. Too much deceit and backstabbing. Low salaries.

Management is the problem

Pros

Great work-life balance for families. Individual engineers, techs, and analysts are serious about delivering the best quality products.

Cons

Mid level and especially upper management are too busy playing with money than generating great products. Outsourcing has not helped the company. Engineering management has trouble getting onboard with the latest technology. Salaries and benefits have been stagnant for years now. They keep paying people just enough to keep them from looking elsewhere.
