Pros

Technology is very good for hardware. .

Cons

Unfortunately, the company is making a major attempt at becoming a player in the small to medium managed print services market and has badly stumbled. They are bungling the consolidation of sales channels by doing away with the direct salesforce and placing accounts with a network of recently acquired distributorships across the country. The management style is tuck in the 70s with many inefficient ways for sales to report/forecast. What a shame to see an American icon compromise itself so badly. Pay is lousy for sales too.

Pros

Great people and great solutions that you can bring to your clients.

Cons

I have never seen a company that required so much non-productive busy-work of their sales reps. Even the best reps that are killing their numbers are forced to utilize hideous software tools that are extremely time-consuming and take time away from working with the clients. Most of management have never worked anywhere but Xerox, so they don't know how bad it is compared to other sales organizations.

Pros

Xerox provides some flexibility for work / life balance, although lately that has become less flexible. The work is interesting.

Cons

Contempt from senior leadership toward ordinary employees. The contempt takes tangible form in benefits reductions and stingy compensation. 'You should be happy you still have a job' is both the unspoken and spoken message from our current CEO. The marketing spin on internal communications is palpable and insulting. If you're considering working for Xerox, be sure you know what you're getting in to.
