Leadership was woefully unaware of the reality of the team's volume of work, and was unwilling to serve as a protective barrier to the executive team forwarding more work on top of draconian and arbitrary RTO mandates. Team members commute for an additional two hours per day just to spend their time in virtual meetings because the old school exec team believes being onsite makes them more productive.
