Pros

- Tuition reimbursement still in place (although it practically takes an act of congress to get it approved) - Immediate co-workers and manager are good - Flex time schedule - Good name brand recognizable by most digital design engineers

Cons

- Above average colleague / peer reviews results in average half yearly review results in less than median income (time in grade is 7 years) - Career means that there is some recognizable path to promotion - RIF's every quarter - Shoddy releases as a result of so many lost employees - Vision is not looking at competitors to see what they are doing

Pros

Many intelligent and friendly co-workers Advanced Technology with great business potential Pay is good for permanent employees Very nice, vast and nearly empty facilities (except for San Jose) make for a quiet work place

Cons

The disposal of very knowledgable and dedicated employees in a hapharzard manner has been unprofessional at best. The "Expanding our Globalization" mantra is simply a matter of managment believing in the cheap labor of foreign markets will produce the same quality and innovations of the past. Morale is mostly negative. People share thier disgust openly, and it gets old. Ass kissing is often more valued than quality of work. Management will lie to your face and deny culpability. Integrity has been lost. Too many meetings and too few people paying attention in them as a result. Senior managment only cares about thier bonu$ potential. Employee ownership concepts of the past (stock, options, related incentives) is very much a thing of the past. Almost all of the limited North America hiring is contract based and on the cheap
