      Pros

      Interesting silicon technology, still mnay good people to work with.

      Cons

      Xilinx is currently managed by anti-intellectual luddites, who neither understand the value of actual innovation (as opposed to the innovation they talk about in their numerous slides), nor the things it takes to motivate good people to create it. Scores of competent technologists are driven out of the company by rampant mediocrity, visionless leadership, and inept management.

      Pros

      Xilinx has a very flexible work environment. The compensation is very good and the people are very easy to work with on a daily basis. The technology is somewhat interesting, but by no means state of the art.

      Cons

      Xilinx is a slow to no growth company. It is essentially a cash cow. Xilinx can always producing a profit, but does not have enough growth to fuel the stock price.

      Pros

      Flexible work schedules and good benefits. People are generally good to work with and company has a laid back culture with a great deal of diversity. Products combine technology from a number of different areas and there is little hording of information.

      Cons

      Lack of high level strategic direction. Career opportunities limited by lack of growth. Reduced emphasis on development of new technologies and engineering and marketing have become un-focused. Internal processes have begun to lag behind industry standards. Slow adoption of new ideas. Moral was high but is slipping as the "good old days" get further and further away. No clear indication from management that they know a way forward
