Readers of Yardi’s Glassdoor will recognize that your experience at the Atlanta office is quite different from that of other employees who have provided feedback. While it sounds like you were very frustrated with your experience, without knowing any specific examples further explaining your list of cons, it’s difficult for us to review. We are continuously offering training for managers and we encourage anyone with concerns to schedule time with HR to further discuss. We wish you the best and hope you find something that better suits your needs.

Pros

immediate management is level headed, fully paid insurance, competitive salary, and Mr. Yardi is a great man.

Cons

HR is awful and very disliked and not trusted throughout the office, it's majority of the reason things won't get better there. The other reason is the director who actually tells new employees that until the day he showed up, things were a mess. He constantly belittles employees and won't let his own ego out of the way.

While the Colorado Springs office has gone through many changes in the past year we are continuing to work on improvements. The VP of HR and Executive Vice President recently visited the Colorado Springs office to be available for any employees to discuss pros and cons as well as check on past concerns. We will continue to help this office grow. We wish you the best of luck in your future.

Management issues galore

Pros

Free medical and dental insurance for employees and cheap to add spouses and dependents, good PTO plan, great coworkers.

Cons

First of all, management in this office was changed about a year ago because people were unhappy with the previous management. Well, now people are unhappy with the current management. During the raise review process that is currently happening, both management and HR refuse to acknowledge any of the problems and complaints that are being brought up. Corporate says that things can't be fixed if we don't talk to HR. Well, we are, and he is ignoring it all just like our director does. Also, on more than one occasion, issues have been brought to his attention by coworkers that he has done nothing about or has requested that the employee works with the other person to resolve the issue. This has included more than one issue that would have gotten someone fired at any other company. Employees are severely underpaid for what they tolerate from our clients and the amount of time they put in. People work through their lunch breaks because that's the only way we'll be able to leave at 5 but, because of break policies, we still put on our time sheets that we are taking a lunch. Hardly anyone takes the 2 10-minute breaks that we're allowed each day. Last year saw around 20 employees leave, and the office was under a hiring freeze. So everyone else had to take on that work load. Yet no one seems to believe that we're over-worked because some of us find a way to not work a ton of overtime. A lot of us have kids we need to pick up or just don't feel we get paid enough to stay late. They did finally start hiring again, but they've only hired 4 people so far. That really doesn't make up for the disaster that has happened over the past 2 years, where people have left in droves. The office is trying to improve morale via free food and events, but it's pointless when your employees are so over-worked that they can't leave their desk to enjoy any of it. Our biggest competitor, where a lot of former employees went when they left here, pays more and lets people work from home. Finally, previous supervisor roles were filled from the outside. One of the things that they really promote during the interview process is the growth opportunities available, yet hardly anyone is ever promoted to an upper-level position. Some promotions that happened recently were nothing more than a change to the wording of their position, to align with corporate instead of having our own naming system.

While the Colorado Springs office has gone through many changes in the past year we are continuing to work on improvements. The HR Director and General Manager both take these concerns very seriously, but if you feel like you are not being heard, please call or email our President or Executive Vice President to further discuss. There will never, ever be retaliation and we genuinely care about what you have to say. Thank you.
