Pros

People are great to work with and very nice. You get two weeks off got summer to spend with family, also Thanksgiving you get off for three days. Christmas shut down you get off for almost three weeks. I have learned a lot in the automotive industry for the almost 3 years I have been there.

Cons

Communication is not the best with leads and supervisors. Also leads screaming at you I front of other co-workers for doing what a supervisor told me to do. Your work being disgusted with other co-workers and then them talking about what was said on breaks to others on the plant.

Pros

Time off, benefits, decent pay

Cons

No family time, work is hard (I had two surgeries because of it) and advancement is impossible. Oh, and never tell them the truth. They don't want to hear it.

Pros

Great company to work for, especially since the Nissan employees are not Union. The pay is good and you get raises really fast. The training is great, they make sure you know exactly what you are doing. Everyone does it the exact same way. If it says to hold the drill with your left hand and the nuts with you right, then that's exactly how you do it. You never do it your way. The Nissan Employees are great to work with too. They are not the snobs who think they are better than you cause they've been there for 20+ years and try to putn all the work off on the yates employees. Everyone works as a team side by side. We all laugh and cut up all day, and as long as your working correctly and getting the job done, and as long as your not paying attention and not cutting up so much and missing your job duties and NOT STOPPING THE LINE. (which isn't as bad as everyone say's, you are allowed to stop the line, if you have to, as long as it's not a lot or because you aren't doing your job, so your having to stop it) It's just really fast and most of the time there is always a extra person who just helps with every thing, and that person is always there to back you up, so even if you get behind, they make it where the line keeps on going. Being a woman, and a blonde, the first thing everyone said when I started was "Blondie ain't gonna last a week" And I was there for 2 years. They learn to respect you. You work just as hard as a man, and a man works just hard as a woman.

Cons

the cons are... it's the hardest work your've ever done in your life. when they are behind because of a different part of a line going down or sometimes out of parts,, cause your working so fast, the manufactoring companie's run out of parts, then you have to stay till your done. Another thing is, don't get your hopes up about always being able to work your 8 hours and go home. Like I said sometimes you have to work over, and it's mandatory. If that means you stay till 5-6 or even 7 sometimes and if they work on Saturdays then every one on your team stays that long. But the overtime is amazing. The benifits are great with health, dental, and visiion. And if you have to wear glasses, they have a place inside that will give you prescription safety glasses that look pretty good. Mine were of course pink lol. And they provide them for free. But make sure you always have on your safety glasses and ear plugs, and do not get caught walking talking on your phone or texting, or having a open drink container in paint, or it's automatically fired. But you can have them on you, if you want to use it at break or lunch. Just do not walk and talk or walk and text. And the only other thing that's hard is, you don't get days off of work for sick or personal time, you get hours.
