Pros

Year Up has strong values and intelligent, driven leadership. They're redefining what it means to work at a nonprofit and are revolutionizing the workforce development space.

Cons

Like most nonprofits, their compensation does not compare to that of the private sector. They attract the brightest candidates, but cannot retain them for more than a few years due to the limitations in compensation that accompany their 501c3 status.

Pros

Year up has a very strong support network of staff and alumni. They truly uphold to their mission to close the opportunity divide by helping young adults.

Cons

Work life balance is ok. It is not a regular 9-5 job in the sense that their will be much more work to put in. Whether it's going to events or helping students and interns, you'll be happy.
