Pros

there are some nice people to work with

Cons

Management totally sucks here. They will openly lie on you, berate you and treat you like dogs. You are expected to work all of the time. There is no work life balance. You are always fighting fires. Please do not work here. All of the epositive reviews are probably coming from the CEO or the folks who are on work visas. The good reviews are a joke. There is an extremly high turn over. People leave for a reason. Stay far far away.

Not a healthy or professional environment.

Pros

The location is nice. The pay, while a bit low for the current DFW market, is reasonable and not an issue. Co-workers there are generally wonderful people. Due to the experience of the team the product has the chance to be excellent. Finally, the people there are very accepting of different cultures and people.

Cons

The work environment is not in my opinion very healthy for the rank and file employees. The cubicles are cramped and unwieldy. The culture there is to interrupt people when they are working with complete disregard to the losses of productivity. You are expected to work odd hours with little to no notification. The HR side is highly unorganized; it wasn't un-common for people to not be issued their health insurance cards in a timely manner due to the annual enrollment starting very late in the year. The policies and rules change at the drop of a hat and promises of benefits have been, in my opinion, often hollow. The paid time off is not enough considering it was common for people to be expected to take their laptops with them on vacation and be 'on' at all times. Some long term employees make the workplace uncomfortable by sharing personal information company wide. Nepotism is common. Code quality for the product was always an issue. Bugs and bad practices where ignored for years leading to panicked support calls and uncomfortable meetings with less that confident customers. Finally, the CEO has made it a common practice to email angst filled rants to the entire company. Again, in my opinion, not a healthy environment for employees that wish to comport themselves in professional manner and expect the same from their peers or supervisors. Avoid this company unless you need work or need to build your resume.

Creativity abounds

Pros

Leadership and management rely on staff teams to be creative and solution oriented. Folks are dedicated and hardworking. This company has grown due to the passion of its leadership. The work is hard but the rewards are great. The CEO is very open in sharing in the wealth of the company's success. Because this is a cross-cultural organization, I believe that this adds strength. For some people this can be a challenge, but only if they don't open their minds and hearts to possibility. For those that want rigid structure and being "told" what to do, this is not the company for you -- me, I prefer creative freedom which is very much valued by the leadership including its very passionate CEO!

Cons

I have seen some of the complaints about poor PTO, but I've worked for years and for a small company, the benefits are quite in line with much, much larger organizations. This has been an entrepreneurial company for many years and continues to be to some extent; policies and procedures are a little lagging, but if everyone is part of the solution it will not be a problem for much longer.
