Pros

Zeta Charter Schools has a strong and energetic school culture that keeps staff motivated and focused on student success. Teachers often appreciate the teamwork, coaching support, and opportunities for professional growth within the network. The schools are structured and resource-rich, which can help educators feel supported in instruction and planning. Zeta has been a perfect school for me as a teacher to grow and learn from.

Cons

The expectations are high, which can make the workday busy and fast-moving but for educators who enjoy collaboration, structure, and being constantly engaged, the environment can be a great fit.

Pros

Extremely high-achieving and joyful culture. People work SO SO hard, with such deep joy and intention. Zeta achieves outstanding outcomes for kids the right way.

Cons

If you aren't up for a high-achieving culture, this will be difficult for you. Not your average nonprofit work culture. There may be late nights and weekends - but it's worth it

Pros

I have been at Zeta for almost a year now, and as someone who came from a different charter school network, my experience has been so refreshing and joyful. Classroom dynamics are grounded in love and play, while still focused on high standards of academic excellence. The same applies to the adult work culture. I have felt supported in developing my learning, loving classroom, and resources are always offered so we can facilitate curriculum best for students. Leadership also collaborates with educators in positive, nourishing ways so that we all feel aligned and prepared to go after winning outcomes. And, Zeta offers programs for teachers beginning their career in education, which I have found to be manageable and engaging. I look forward to continuing my journey here at Zeta, and I recommend this experience to any NYC-based educator!

Cons

Zeta is a growing charter school network, so they do not have as many locations (yet!) Therefore, commute may be long.
