Pros

Relaxed atmosphere, low stress, generally achievable quota, great co workers, flexible schedule, great vacation time. The job is easy as long as you remain focused and creative.

Cons

Money could be better. Advancement is limited. Lots of favoritism and politics by managers. Repetitive work and Inefficient workflow for salespeople.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m happy that you like the atmosphere, co-workers, and a lot of the benefits (and thanks for staying focused and creative!) Regarding your feedback on favoritism and hiring too many people, we work hard to prevent both of these things (though understood we may not always be perfect here.) If you can provide me with any specifics, I can help further and try to fix some of the issues you’re seeing – feel free to email me directly at tonys@zillowgroup.com. –Tony Small, Group Vice President.

Pros

The Seattle Zillow office is very nice with an outstanding view. However, the best part of my job by far was the people I worked with. My colleges were supportive, fun and just all around amazing people. My team lead Justin Wixom was always encouraging and always positive. We had a great team dynamic. I enjoyed meetings and anytime we were together as a group. It was the people on this team that made leaving this job very difficult.

Cons

The position does not pay well. It is hard to live in Seattle with a salary like this. It was challenging to work early hours and have to pay to for an uber or parking to get to work safely.

Hi, thanks for your feedback. It's inspiring to hear how you feel about your team and your manager. We work hard to create an environment that fosters that kind of community and drives productivity. Regarding pay, we're consistently ranked as a great place to work. I believe our compensation and benefits package is highly competitive for the type of work, experience required, location, our industry and other factors. Our department covers a ton of hours, and some shifts do start earlier than a typical 9 to 5 job, which is why we're extremely clear in recruiting what shifts are available and what the hours are. In terms of parking, we adjusted the schedules of the entire Seattle office to better match the transit schedule, resulting in +200% increase in amount of bus routes available to teammates withing a 20 mile radius of our building, allowing them to use the bus pass Zillow provides to get to work safely and for free. I'm happy to hear other feedback you have about your time at Zillow, and what else we can do better. Shoot me a note at jrg@zillowgroup.com.

Pros

Amazing company culture, very transparent in every aspect, office is open with no private offices (not even for the head honchos) so it is a very welcoming and not intimidating atmosphere. Amazing stocked kitchens and games and clubs to participate in. Great company parties and happy hours and the benefits are insanely good. Bonuses are awesome.

Cons

They changed the promotion time from 6 months to 12 months, which is understandable but a bit frustrating when you started in entry level expecting to be moved up to a position in the time frame they said. Changes to SOP isn't always clear or communicated clearly to everyone. Benefits are amazing but the hourly wage could be a llittle more competitive considering living costs in the area.

Hi, thanks for the feedback! You listed all my favorite things Zillow does well. But, keep pushing us to do better. If we continue to build a high performace culture, we'll continue to provide incredible value to our consumers and clients. I'm sorry you felt communication around growth guidelines and our operating procedure changes are less than ideal. We should be crystal clear on those fronts. Thanks for pointing that out. We can do better. If you have other great suggestions, please ping me any time at jrg@zillowgroup.com
