Pros

Insurance is great. well stocked kitchen. You can make a lot of money in sales if you are good at it. The people are good, for the most part.

Cons

I worked in the Denver office. The drug culture is out of control, even reaching into management level. I have been in the office when someone came in stinking of marijuana. I have seen another rep come in from lunch with a white ring around his nose. If I had a 20-something son or daughter I wouldn't want them to work here simply because it's easy to get caught up in that culture. pill popping is not uncommon at all. I have had managers who were coked out during the day. There's one guy in particular who would be on adderall and just stare me down for no good reason. It got to be uncomfortable after a while, to the point where I no longer wanted to there anymore. Also, since Zillow bought Trulia, it stopped being any sort of fun in the Denver office. It used to be a really fun place to work. I used to look forward to going in because every day was a new adventure. Then, somewhere along the line, it just turned into straight up drudgery. Also, there is little to no room for advancement. It's a good place to cut your teeth but I wouldn't want to be there more than 2 years. that would be my maximum. it's changed for the worse, that's for sure and that's the consensus on the floor. One region, right now, is fomenting mutiny. It's just a matter of time before that situation blows up. The die-hards will stay because they're grandfathered in. I can see a mass exodus within the next 6 months happening.

I appreciate you taking the time to review your experience with us at Zillow Group. We do pride ourselves on providing a fantastic financial opportunity to our world class sales organization. I also agree there is great potential to maximize that opportunity if you are a skilled salesperson; typically, that is how it works. When it comes to recruiting great leadership, we consistently look internally and externally for great people. Several of our current sales leaders started as individual contributors with Zillow Group. The message we are sending is we have great career opportunities for folks joining our sales team in any role. Regarding your other comments about the Denver office, the feedback you provide is very serious and counter to what I observe with our Denver sales team. Personally, I believe in cultivating a safe, enjoyable, and productive work environment. Our Denver sales and leadership teams take great pride in doing the same. Your feedback certainly counters that philosophy. Please feel free to connect with me at stevec@zillowgroup.com to discuss your thoughts and best of luck with your future endeavors.. Pros

For 46 months straight, I kept meeting great people with strong talents. Building relationships with Agents from a cold call on to years of consulting and Truly helping the agents grow their business.

Cons

Managers that have been there for years are lazy and if you report this to HR you get let go. Seen it happened and when I couldn't keep quite I too was let go.

Thanks for your feedback. I am glad to hear that you met great and talented people during your time here and agree that our employees are the best. Though I appreciate your point of view, I don’t agree with your assessment of our managers or HR. I believe we hold all of our people to high standards, and we have an open door workplace so that, if any employee identifies an opportunity for improvement, they can approach leadership or HR to be heard - and do so freely without the concern that you expressed. If you feel like you experienced something different, I would like to understand it more so we can potentially improve. You can reach me at chrisl@zillowgroup.com. Pros

Great benefits, easy hours with a great work life balance. Unlimited time off and laid-back enviornment

Cons

Incredibly disorganized. Managers don't care about growing their employees or taking ownership over work. Often no place to grow unless you want to relocate.

I'm glad to hear you like our benefits and environment. Your comments about your experience with your manager are concerning. Manager development and training is an area where we are investing heavily and this is not the type of feedback we frequently hear. I'd like to learn more about your specific experience to see if there are ways this can be improved. Please feel free to email me (or your HR business partner) directly. Best -- Amy (COO)
