Thank you for your review. We hear you on the importance of clear, consistent communication. Creating transparency in a growing and evolving company takes work, and your feedback helps us understand where we can do better. Thanks for 'Turning on the Lights' to tell us what's working, and what still needs focus.

Pros

- Zillow’s brand name still carries weight on a resume. - Some talented and driven peers at the IC level who try to do good work despite leadership gaps.

Cons

- Compensation in the ASA Sales Org is below market and not competitive with comparable SaaS or adtech roles. - ASA Sales Org is a textbook case of how not to run sales leadership. Zero structure, unclear expectations, and shifting priorities with no accountability from the top. - Leadership (BJP) was inconsistent, reactive, and avoided ownership. No coaching, no feedback loops, no partnership. - Onboarding for new managers is essentially nonexistent - thrown into the deep end to sink or swim. Success is left entirely up to luck and self-navigation. Leadership applauds sacrifice but provides no real support. - Culture is one of finger-pointing rather than enabling. When things go wrong, managers are the scapegoats.

Pros

Flexible work life balance. Great benefits!!! Gym stipend and monthly office stipend

Cons

Losing the culture that everyone once loved about Zillow. I dont even think Zillow realizes that most of their sales floor is in THERAPY. They are cutting TOP producers over trivial things. Mostly when people highlight the ridiculous unfairness of what Zillow has continuously put us through. They are always changing the benchmark so you think you’re free and safe one month and it changes the next. You can be the top seller with zero job security. Reps who have given over decades to their life for Zillow have taken their well earned PTO, only to come back and be told that they are on the verge of losing their jobs due to zero flexibility. We all know what we sign up for in careers as salespeople, but Zillow takes advantage of that. The new sales leaders have destroyed a place that people once loved to work at.

We appreciate your review. It’s clear you see some bright spots, but also areas where we don’t fully meet expectations, and that matters to us. We’re committed to learning from these reflections and using them to improve how we show up for our people.
