Not the best working environment

Pros

Good place for new graduates to get the taste of agency life. Even if for a short time.

Cons

Not a positive work environment. Everyone wants to be working somewhere else. Anyone talented leaves as soon as they can find another job. There is no priority on people. Senior level staff use scare tactics rather than any kind of mentoring or positive reinforcement. You are made to feel guilty if you take any time off. They win clients but the clients rarely stay which then means people are let go. It's a revolving door with both staff and clients.

Pros

Honestly, this place is an awesome agency to work at. It is an exciting time to be a part of Zimmerman because they are getting new clients and they are rapidly growing. The corporate culture is very fun and laid back, which takes the pressure off of being at work. Lots of young and friendly people here too.

Cons

The biggest con to working here is the pay. The national average salary for an Account Coordinator is $44,000. Zimmerman pays you $24,000. After 6 months they automatically bump you up to 27,500 and after a year to $30,000. This is all they promise you, after a year it is up to you to find a way to move up in the company and increase your salary. This is why the turn around is so big here. Everyone comes here to gain some experience and then moves to an agency where they actually get compensated fairly.

Sweat Shop

Pros

There are no pros for this company other than maybe you'll be lucky to have a nice team.

Cons

If you want to go back in time and work in a sweat shop this is the place for you! They overwork everyone at the company to the point where people have passed out at work. God forbid you come to work a few minutes late and they threaten to fire you. But they expect you to work OT most of the time. The executives don't care about anyone, just about looking good to JZ - the CEO. They all fall in line and do whatever they are told. Jordan Zimmerman is like a tyrant. He doesn't care about his employees at all. He expects everyone to do as they are told, no questions asked. To put it into perspective, he has employees taking attendance in the office so that he can fire people who come in late. After WFH was lifted at the company he made everyone come back to the office or threatened to fire them. A woman who had a new born and has another child at home was forced to drive 2hrs to work every day once the WFH was lifted and her maternity leave ended otherwise she was told she would be fired. So if you want a company that actually cares about you and has a healthy company culture and you want a life outside of work then this is not the company for you.
