Pros

Work from home is about the only benefit this company has.

Cons

First off to see an accurate review of this company go to SE2. Zinnia, previous name SE2, Wanted to spice things up and decided to change the name and many aspects of the company along with that. Don't let their reply fool you, this is a name change and if you don't fit along with it they will let you go. Look at the reviews for Zinnia, the 5*s, this is the direction from upper management to give a 5* or else be fired. Those reviews are lies just like the CEO feeds everyone. -Constantly worried about being replaced - Fire as many as possible and have others observed the work with no additional pay. Their goal is to lay off majority of the staff, ship them overseas and have onshore (US base folks) take on too much work. They do not care about your work life ratio, it's all about work and no life.

We are excited about the opportunities the combination of these excellent companies is creating. We know we aren't perfect and we know there are areas that are still being fine tuned. Throughout that process we appreciate the feedback and honest communication. Our goal is to challenge the status quo, build a new product founded on a supportive and inclusive culture. We are not perfect but we continue to pursue excellence in everything we do. We learn lessons along the way and work to incorporate them into the day-to-day so that every new day is better than the one before.

Pros

There's legitimately nothing to put in the "pros" category of this organization. The 5 star ratings you're reading on Glassdoor are written as a directive from leadership and coming from the company they acquired earlier in 2022. They should be satisfied, as they all have equity in the business and are the "golden child" of the organization while everyone else is treated like trash.

Cons

There aren't enough marketing dollars in the world to cover up the train wreck of a company that this one is. A "relaunch" of the former SE2 (go check out those reviews if you want a good idea of what it's like to work here), this company thrives on overworking their employees, feeding them full of false hope and strategic "employee engagement" and ultimately downsizing and laying off skilled employees for no good reason. This company has been doing mass layoffs for the last several years. They're on a mission to become a team of 500 - 600 people....which if you do the math means more than half of them will eventually be out of a job. Their leadership has the mindset of "hire slow, fire fast" and has no respect for the people who have been busting their butts to do the work of multiple people for years. They layoff SMEs, without backfilling their position, only to pile the work onto employees who haven't been properly trained or educated on how to do the job. They're then forced to work countless hours of overtime, only to be told they're not doing their job right and ultimately let go. They've closed multiple offices and will continue to lay off more team members as time goes on. They've hired countless consultants and spent millions of dollars trying to rebuild their TERRIBLE reputation, which doesn't reflect the truth of the company. Lipstick on a pig doesn't even begin to describe it. They've implemented worthless benefits like "unlimited PTO" positioning it as a perk when the reality is they can't stop the bleeding of every employee jumping ship before they can be laid off and the amount of vacation hours they've had to pay out is enough to bankrupt them alone. The ringleader smiles in their face, offering up weekly updates and messaging about how much she cares about her teams, when the reality is she's cussing them in meetings weekly and bad mouthing them all behind their back. My advice to any and all potential candidates - RUN, don't walk, far far away from this one. Now, cue the paid response from their crisis management team below...

Thank you for your feedback; we appreciate every bit we get. We are going through the process of a major business transformation and that doesn't come quickly or easily. Hearing honest and open feedback from current and previous employees is always helpful. We aren't perfect, but we're working hard to make Zinnia a place that employees are proud of: a place where everyone can pursue their professional goals in a supportive environment. The Zinnia culture is founded on inclusive and open communication between team members, all of whom create change and challenge that status quo in their own, individual manner. This allows each of us to become the professional we want to be and it coordinates all of our efforts on achieving and fulfilling our mission. Everyone who chooses to take ownership of change and pursue excellence with us is a welcome member of the Zinnia team.

We appreciate your support as we continue to work through this great transition. The end product will be a combination of the great work of all our team members, but we definitely know that getting there is a process. Your patience and understanding means a lot and truly embodies the supportive, understanding, and inclusive culture Zinnia is building.
