Pros

Great organization with great people and leadership climate. As part of my program, I had the opportunity to network with people throughout the Bank. I was very impressed with the openness and caring exhibited at all levels of the organization from the President on down. The management was very supportive, among the best I have ever worked for. I would recommend Zions Bank without hesitation.

Cons

The parent corporation (Zions Bancorp) is going through a major restructuring, which has infused a lot of uncertainty and discomfort in the corporation and the banks. I feel the direction is right and the organization will be stronger in the long term, but the short-term pain is not always easy to deal with. Also, the medical insurance plan is a big sore point for most employees.

Pros

Great People. I have worked in several different branches and there is a family feel to all of them. Pay is decent in relation to the competition.

Cons

Processes and Procedures are awful. There is a lot of talk about making things better and more efficient but nothing ever changes. Our systems are drastically outdated. We used to be very competitive in our market, however now we cant come close to competing on timing to get deals done. Upper management has cut back on staffing to a point that every department that I have worked with is behind on their work, over stressed and under goal. There has been such an effort to reduce expenses that they are cutting our ability to generate revenue.

Pros

The environment and managers are great. It's a family type work environment where everyone is out to help you instead of step on you.

Cons

The management is a little too loose on their employees. They need to be more strict at times to make sure that everyone is working the same, and not having to pick up the slack for others.
