Pros

I had wonderful clients and enjoyed working with them. The people in my pod were great too. Other than that, nothing about this company was good.

Cons

Terrible pay. Hours are a joke. For a work from home job, there is no flexibility at all. Management is uncaring and terrible to work with. Bad clients are really BAD clients and Zirtual will do nothing about it. Fact is that you can work at a fast food restaurant and be paid better and treated better. That is sad when you consider all the empty promises that Zirtual has to care about their employees.

Pros

Working from home, or really anywhere there is internet has allowed me to be able to do things such as visit my parents out of state without missing work, and not having to worry that my dog will be left home alone all day is great peace of mind. Plus I only have to buy gas for my car every 6 weeks or so because I no longer have a commute! I was worried I would go stir crazy or feel isolated because I'm a pretty social person, but I have a pod of teammates who I chat with everyday and that really helps me to feel connected. Also, this company really has their employees back. I had a very difficult client who was misusing the service and treated me very poorly, and Zirtual prioritized my well being over getting money from an abusive client. This experience really solidified my loyalty to Zirtual, and I am a better employee to them because of it.

Cons

The pay is low. They are very upfront about it, and acknowledge that they want to pay their employees more, but that it will take time. There are however great benefits, and a decent amount of paid time off, as well as paid holidays. They also have a bonus structure for client retention, although since you do not choose your own clients, sometimes that is out of your control when it's just not a good fit. Overall, I valued the companies great culture and perks over the pay. I turned down several jobs that paid nearly twice as much and I don't regret that decision at all.

Pros

Working from home is wonderful, no doubt about it. I worked with some amazing clients and incredible people within Zirtual. There are no other Pros to this job.

Cons

The pay is a complete joke, especially for a job that wants you to have a college degree. They continue to say the company isn't profitable enough for pay raises, and you are not compensated for phone or internet in any way either. It is INCREDIBLY difficult to balance multiple clients throughout the day, especially with the Harvest timers. I basically had 7 different jobs that I was expected to 'have a little fun with' daily. On top of this, there are mandatory meetings and things you must do for Zirtual every week as well. With this model, small tasks can get forgotten for clients, and the quality of work decreases when you are trying to meet deadlines, etc. You are limited to how much overhead time you can have, and as someone else mentioned, it's often VERY difficult to fit all of this into a 40 hour work week. With my client load, I was working several hours of overtime a week. A big no to work life balanced. Many stay at home mom's are forced to higher sitters to watch their children during the day because they are so busy. Often times, the sitters are earning more per hour than the Z Mom. Completely not worth it. There is also no real process for placing a ZA to a client. If you have available hours and are in a certain time zone, you will be given a client, regardless of skill set in any given area. Policies change at Zirtual on a weekly basis, which makes it hard to keep up with what's going on. Clients often ask you to do things outside of Zirtual's scope of service or different than a cut and paste type of task and you have to figure out the pieces yourself. For example, I was handling recruiting for 3 different clients of mine with very different companies.
