Disorganized and Underpaid

Pros

Legitimate work at home with continuous peer support. The variety of tasks is fun and you learn something new everyday.

Cons

The biggest problem I experienced was client overload. There is an especially pressing problem with zirtual pairing new ZAs with VIP clients because of the backup. They quite literally throw you into the deep end and expect you to swim.

Pros

Zirtual is a virtual personal assistant job. You can have as few as 2 or 3 clients or upwards of 7 or more, depending on the service level you agree to take. You have the opportunity to meet a lot of interesting people from different areas of the country. You also get to virtually meet your team members via their online chat. Training is good. Team leaders are nice..everyone is helpful.

Cons

The challenge working here is you must be able to hit the ground running. When you agree to take on a client, you need to be certain that you fully understand the tasks they need completed. When a client is not happy, you as the ZA will have to accept the blame no matter who is at fault. Three complaints to upper management about your work performance and you are out of job.

Too Good to Be True

Pros

No commute to the office and working from home is amazing. When I first started with Zirtual they had great benefits and PTO.

Cons

Cons, hmm.. You mean besides the fact that 400+ employees woke up to an email saying that Zirtual was ceasing all operations so we were all out of a job with no warning? Or that they encouraged us to pursue our clients and create an independent working relationship with them just to have them email our clients to try and bring them back to the "new" Zirtual? It wasn't bad enough to pull the rug out from under us once, they had to do it again. Lots of people never received their PTO and their health insurance was taken from their paychecks, even though they received no coverage for August. They then set up a new Zirtual where we would work as independent contractors and work at a 45/55% payment rate. There is little to no communication between Zirtual and their employees now, especially without our Pods. You're better off just setting up your own business - at least that way you'll get the full amount your clients pay.
