Great Benefits, Bad Business

Pros

Amazing benefits and innovative products.

Cons

How the business is actually run is a mess. No clear communication. No freedom in your job. Poor and expensive business decisions. Goals set too high and change on a whim. Incredibly unorganized. Leadership has their minds made up and there is no room to make suggestions or change. Leadership makes decisions based solely on budget and budget alone, not on what's actually best. They preach the core values but don't live by them. Recently acquired a smaller company with incredible people with brights minds- let ALL of them go with no explanation other than "your role is one we decided to eliminate." Every single one of them would have been a stellar addition to our team. Rather than finding a spot for them, it was easier to just eliminate quality people. Incredibly frustrating.

Toxic Work Culture

Pros

Great benefits, Great products, big name recognition. Cash rich company

Cons

No matter what they pay you (and they pay low with unattainable goals) it is not worth working in a toxic culture. Zoetis has reverted back to 1990s Pharma mentality with check the box culture. FRAT boys running the show at Director levels. Diagnostics is a joke with Toxic Culture under certain Regional Directors. HR has done multiple investigations into certain "leaders", admits there are issues, and still decides to do nothing. Multiple people are leaving, many more want to but timing with economy isn't right. Lots of talk between managers as we have seen good people leave without even getting exit interviews from management. There is no realistic ability to move into different roles unless you are part of the "chosen few" group. It's all politics and who has been there since legacy Pfizer Animal Health.
