Tech Management at its worse

Pros

Some nice people. Seem to have a positive revenue model.

Cons

The Tech leadership is in over their head and extremely narcissistic (knows all the answers, so far from the truth). Bad project planning (redoing work is common), lack of structure, and high employee turn-over (low pay and lack of creativity). Over half the PM's are non-tech and it shows. Little to no offered stock (ownerships is greedy, empty parking lot at 6 because of it), new employees are suspect. Tons of back-stabbing, Jr High locker room feel. Little to no teamwork.

Pros

Good benefits, fun non work related activities

Cons

Zero work life balance. They do not care what is going on in your personal life, and it better not get in the way of work. The management team overall is a joke, especially in finance. They would have meetings to improve the moral of the employees but nothing actually ever came of it. They don't treat all employees equally either. One employee will ask for something such as a promotion and be told thats not possible due to budgets and its only done at review time but two weeks later a new position is created and their coworker given a promotion, by the same manager. The people who get promoted are because they are friends with the management team and not because its earned with merit or skill.

Pros

•Supportive colleagues. •Fun events and holiday celebrations including annual turkey fry, cinco de mayo, Halloween. •Convenient locations for both headquarters and TDC. •Diverse workforce- only diverse in lower level roles. Diversity is non existent in management/director/executive roles.

Cons

There has been no strides to create new and competitive products. Zonar used to be a leader in the industry but is now only competitive on name recognition. Competitors are out with innovative new products at a cheaper cost. Internal tools are archaic to say the least. CRM is abysmal, as well as other tools needed to perform. It’s a constant “put a bandaid over it”. The stack of bandaids must reach the moon by now. We have no competent billing system. Customers are unable to make payments online, accounting is consistently overcharging/undercharging customers then rely on members of other teams to correct the situation, causing distrust between customer and customer contact/manager. What happened with Zoom? 10 million to develop that product for it to never launch and get scrapped. Amazing use of resources and finances. Compensation is well below market, especially for Seattle. It’s too expensive and too competitive in the region to live comfortably working at Zonar.
