Pros

Good RSU, but seems to be going away. There could be pros if you speak Chinese.

Cons

Eveytime I worked in the office, I felt like I was in China for the work time, language and people.

Zoom has gone down hill

Pros

remote work and great coworkers

Cons

management is rough, all the old guard that used to work there has either left or been "restructured". They wont do company wide layoffs but will have new positions eliminated on department at a time monthly so you are always concerned for your job.

Pros

High-impact product: You’re working on a product that powers communication globally—meetings, webinars, hybrid workspaces. You see your work affect millions. Brilliant colleagues: Zoom attracts top-tier talent. Working cross-functionally with engineers, PMs, and customer-facing teams constantly raises your game. Empowerment in support roles: Even in Tier 2, you’re encouraged to solve complex problems, own escalations, and contribute ideas that shape tools and processes. Remote-friendly: Flexible work policies, strong culture of async communication, and excellent internal tools make distributed work frictionless. Global exposure: Teams span the globe, which builds your cultural fluency and sharpens your collaboration skills across time zones and business units.

Cons

Pace of innovation can be slow in some departments: Especially in support and operations, where change often lags behind product priorities. Siloed structure: It can be hard to break into product or other departments without heavy networking or internal sponsorship. Scaling pains: As Zoom grew fast, some systems and leadership styles didn’t evolve at the same speed—creating occasional bottlenecks or unclear ownership. Career growth depends on self-advocacy: Promotions and transitions require you to be visible, vocal, and strategic about where you want to go.
