Pros

Good product/market fit, so its fairly easy to overcome objections with buyers Mid-level managers are solid. Good people who enjoy coaching but have little to no actual power.

Cons

Extremely top-down leadership org, middle-managers have very little say in how they run their own teams. Glorified babysitters. Very sad, since they aren't learning the skills they need to move on and up into other orgs. Constant account reorgs- this is deliberate. They think that doing this causes sales reps to push harder to close, which it does, but it makes it impossible to work longer, strategic deals. ZI makes the conscious decision to prioritize the quick sale, which makes every sale very transactional. There is no opportunity to build relationships. This is high pressure, buy or get out of here, sales. Others have said it, but its a bro culture- the worst I've seen. They love to praise people for putting in ridiculous hours, they like to have multiple calls daily, one first thing and one at the end of the day, to make sure no one is "slacking off." They like churn, because it helps them keep salaries low. Lots of micro-managing.

Pros

-I wish there were pro's I had one manager that was really nice. Unfortunately I had 6 managers in the 6 months I worked.

Cons

-They made goal three times as high and call volume impossible, would micromanage every hour to make sure you were making the calls, and if you didnt hit goal they got rid of you with a PiP-they tell you the Pip is for your improvement-it's not, LOOK immediately. - Before I quit I had 6 different managers in the short time -I messaged the VP to thank him-never said a word back to me, but creepily looked at my linkedin NUMEROUS times -I have never worked for a more poor organization, was hired to be in office one day they ramped it up to four days and went back to remote capabilities (again this was a tactic that got 4 people to quit on my team) - I had a mom with 2 young kids on my team they put on a plan, she was crying every night. - they took away unlimited PTO and they took over Overtime capabilities -THE OTE IS A SCAM!!

We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. Your concerns regarding management turnover, goal setting, and work-life balance are taken seriously. We understand the importance of consistent leadership and clear expectations, and we regret any miscommunication or changes that may have impacted your experience negatively. Regarding the changes in PTO, we understand that changes in these areas can be disruptive and challenging for employees. The decision to implement these changes is rooted in our commitment to enhance and streamline ZoomInfo's operational processes. This transition aligns with our goal to accurately track daily work hours, ensure efficient team operations, and facilitate better planning for overtime. It also aligns with industry standards and best practices. The recent changes to our RTO model was based on employee feedback and give tenured and high-performing in-office employees more location flexibility. This has been well received! We are committed to addressing your concerns and encourage you to reach out to your Human Resources Business Partner to discuss your concerns in more detail to help us improve. Thanks again for your contributions to ZoomInfo!

Pros

Incredible product that is a ton of fun to sell. The right person has the ability to make a lot of money. You can learn a ton and sell an innovative product at a high level in a tough selling environment.

Cons

This place used to be somewhere anyone would want to work. The culture was unmatched. Unfortunately it has become unbearable to work there for most. Many sellers including myself really wish we could stay, but it’s no longer an option. Certain middle level managers are downright intolerable and emboldened to be. CxOs are tone deaf and continue to make shocking decisions. Makes you question if they want sellers to attrit.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We care tremendously about your feedback and there are several things we've done to help such as exiting several AEs (and SDRs) for playing in the grey/"cheating" right when we uncover it, exiting leadership that didn't align with our values or culture, implementing ideas from our front line to improve morale and demo equity (updated lead scoring) and rolling out coaching for leadership on what’s important, how to coach and give feedback and be consistent. And in the new year we are working with the teams to have far smarter/better quota targets, and continued improved demo routing. Please feel free to reach out to your direct manager or HRBP with other ideas you may have to help us improve. Thank you for all you do!
