Pros

Great benefits: health, dental, eye, life insurance, pet insurance, etc. Working for a big company means there is chance to have a fuller career. There are employee made slack groups for marginalized groups to come together which may indicate an effort to make sure the workplace feels fair and open for everyone.

Cons

No transparency! You have no idea what's really expected from you in order to get a promotion or to make a lateral shift. Your manager will try to make you feel nice by saying they are "there to help" but they aren't. It feels more like they want to withhold you from opportunities to grow rather than help you. As an SDR, expect confusion about what your true expected quota is. Expect to see unfair treatment when it comes to distribution of resources to help you do your job. I also wonder if the want to "manage out" certain types of people if you catch my drift. But even if you are the "right type" of person, you're not safe. Every single SDR on my team is pulling their hair out. Decisions are made without you in mind and when you seek understanding, they give vague non-answers. If you're lucky, you'll have a manager try to make you look stupid in front of everyone for asking the question we ALL want answers to. It's as if they want you to work, work, work and don't ask questions. But we're adults. We have lives. And our careers are important to us. So that means we expect a certain level of transparency so we can help the company AND our careers. And have peace of mind while working. On top of that, there was an issue with our commissions so we didn't get paid our commissions appropriately. I'm sure this will get fixed shortly, but I'm including it in case it happens to you so you know. Also there is a culture of working overtime. They will tell you that you don't need to, that they pay overtime in case you do work it, but no -- understand that in order to achieve certain goals you HAVE TO WORK overtime.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. I’m glad to hear that our benefits plans meet your needs – this is something the team has worked hard on in the last few years. We’re proud of our competitive, flexible benefits. It’s also great to hear that you’ve gotten involved in our ZoomInclusion diversity programs. The employee resource groups do an incredible job bringing folks together and making sure everyone feels seen and respected. I appreciate your candor regarding our need to be more clear surrounding quotas and expectations for promotions. This is an area we can do better on and I’m personally committed to coaching my managers and cascading information. I’m also currently working with HR to create more clearly defined talent development and career mapping plans to share with the team. As a former SDR, I know the role can be challenging. The reality is that success in this position is volume-driven. The more demos completed, the better. Some people exceed their quotas in 40 hours per week, others need more time. That’s why we implemented our overtime program so we can make sure our SDRs get fairly compensated for the work they put in. Regardless of if you do or don’t work overtime, I really want to see those with the passion and tenacity for the industry succeed. I believe being an SDR with ZoomInfo is the best possible launch pad for a career in tech sales, and if you master it, the rewards can be huge. My door is open and I am listening. If there’s anything I can do to help, please reach out to me. – Brian Vital, ZoomInfo VP of Sales Development

Pros

If you want to grow in your career, ZoomInfo is the place to be. The people are incredible and the management team is great at guiding and mentoring team members. The workplace culture is impeccable. The company and product are constantly growing, so if you enjoy a fast-paced work structure, this is for you.

Cons

Because the team is constantly growing, HR can be a mess sometimes. Hard to reach and get things done.
