Pros

The compensation is decent and there is a quick path to mobility.

Cons

Myself and many others were told by the recruiters that this is a remote first company, and that barely anyone goes to the office. When I started on day 1, I was told I was required to be in the office at least 3x a week. I have a sick family member that I take care of, so I requested to work remotely. When I went to upper leadership about this, they took ZERO accountability and told me I can either quit or deal with it. I would have never joined if I knew they required employees in office 3x a week, and now my family has to suffer because of shady recruiters and unaccountable leadership. ZoomInfo cares about their number, and customers but NOT their employees.

Churn and burn culture

Pros

Salaries are competitive (although not for the the hours they demand) and stock vests over 3 years. They promote from within (which may be out of necessity because so many people leave.) It's a good name to have on your resume.

Cons

Everything! The company culture is atrocious. There are 20+ C-Suite executives and they all micromanage, which creates a culture where quantity is massively prioritized over quality of work. Checking the box that a task/project is complete is far more important than thinking strategically and doing work that will benefit our customers and/or internal users. The C-suite also scrutinizes how much PTO each employ takes (regardless of the quality of work you produce or the number of hours per week you typically work.) Everyone is expected to work well over 40 hours per week, since teams are dramatically understaffed, and PTO is heavily discouraged. (You are required to deliver the same amount of work, if you take time off, so you can never take more than 1-2 days in a row.) The benefits are the worst I've come across in tech (ex: you have to accrue sick time, the health insurance is off-brand BCBS and it's hard to find in-network doctors.)

Hi, thanks for taking the time to leave a review of your experience at ZI. We wanted to comment on your review to clarify a few points about the culture. It’s unfortunate to hear that our culture is not a place you feel that employees can thrive. Since the beginning of the year, we have prioritized and invested in our resources as well as made signifiant strides in account loads. As mentioned in the last All Hands meeting, we have refocused our company to three things that creates incredible, long-term, durable value - Solving hard problems, rowing in the right direction, having customers who trust you and love our products and services. Also our benefits consistently rank as top notch and are reviewed regularly to compete with other Tech companies and especially after feedback received from our engagement surveys. If you are unable to get PTO approved please work with your HRBP to ensure you get what you need for a good work/life blend. Thank you

Pros

- Great opportunity to sell a ton of new business and make good money doing it - Super energizing culture, people around you are very driven and smart - Definitely the #1 product on the market, almost an easy sell (no such thing but it comes close)

Cons

- Leadership is almost 100% white and male from mid-tier up to the C-level, there is definitely a Bro Culture that makes it feel uncomfortable to be a woman - Very little diversity and inclusion, the culture was all about "destroying" others - from former companies we've worked with, to even having a "trash can award" for the "worst client" that was sold to where the team and management would make fun of small businesses that bought their product - sales management records every single call you have and nitpicks their way through it using AI technology - you could be repremanded for leaving out a single word from the scripts they give you - super shady, I knew I had to leave when leadership told us to stop telling prospects how we captured the data - Long hours, weekend work, and new prospect calls every 30 minutes - When I asked my manager how to improve, he said stop taking lunch so I can take more meetings...

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. You are spot on to recognize that income potential is significantly higher at ZoomInfo than at many other companies. It’s not uncommon for Sales team members to earn six figures only a year or two after joining. The tech stack is superb and ZoomInfo is known in the industry as the ‘premier’ tool for Go to Market teams. Diversity, equity and inclusion is incredibly important to our organization. Although we acknowledge that sales cultures can be boisterous and high-energy, we do not condone any behavior that is discriminatory or makes anyone feel uncomfortable or unsafe. This is not commensurate with our values; any behavior of this nature should immediately be reported to HR. One of the ways we support women at ZoomInfo is through our Women’s Initiative Network (WIN) employee resource group. WIN meets regularly and hosts several annual events that highlight our women in leadership and create networking and mentoring opportunities for women at ZoomInfo. We are proud of the fact that our percentage of women in leadership in several of our departments exceeds the industry average. As our company continues to grow, culture is top of mind for the executive team. We are currently conducting extensive focus groups to analyze employee sentiment, identify quick wins, and develop medium- and long-term action plans to engage our employees, help them grow and build their careers here at ZoomInfo. If you have any questions regarding these programs, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the Employee Experience team or your HR Business Partner.
