Pros

- welcoming work culture - services bonus every new year (dependent on how many clients we get per year) - great entry place to grow i.e. a lot of training on the job which helped build necessary wet lab/dry lab/team skills - great great benefits (401k, health, vision, dental, free online courses, PTO and Sick PTO) - very flexible work schedule i.e. no strict clock in/clock out time and never have had a problem asking for Time Off (sick or vacation)

Cons

- they vocalize growth and "provide you the option" to learn a new skill and apply it to the company (i.e.f you started in wet lab and garnered a skill for coding, or marketing, or R&D, they would let you transition to that new skill within the company) but, specifically in the services tech, everyone has such a busy schedule and deadlines that it is hard to really find a new skill and learn it. - VERY difficult to move up in this company. 2 years at this company and I am still only a Services/Research Tech II (which sounds normal) but when my responsibilities and skills have skyrocketed, i feel like it doesn't reflect my title/rack -Low pay. at first, they pay well, but raises are non existent outside of the yearly raise (really only a 3-10% raise increase) -the low pay mixed with the difficulty of moving up in title in this company weighs more than the welcoming work culture and benefits. -upper management can really be a favoritism thing sometimes and more of often than not, power trips are more common than what i had hoped for, depending on what team you are apart of in this company.

Pros

Fantastic work culture and interactions with coworkers that became lifelong friends. May depend on your specific role, but the specific project for R&D was very rewarding and growth-oriented.

Cons

Pay is lower for the responsibilities demanded and promotion is generally slower which can hurt retaining talented prospects long-term. This made me see the role as a stepping stone into other positions elsewhere ultimately.

Pros

Only if you're motivated by a new job or learning a new thing from others. Company was growing during the pandemic, thanks to the federal funds for research.

Cons

Run if you have been professional and can't stand young aggressive workers, and expect a good tax-deductible benefits package. Watch out for the big-shot wannabe who can be a bully and team-embarrassing.
