Balena take a refreshing approach to growing and operating an organisation, with an almost flat hierarchy, employees are encouraged to be involved in any area of the business where they believe they can add value. By making recruitment decisions that focus more on skill and attitude than academic record and past job titles, they have built a team of brilliant, ambitious, open-minded people who are eager to support and also learn from one another. Having worked for and with companies who offer their employees zero support, push targets and are stuck in a mindless system of unexplainable policies and procedures, joining balena has been an absolute breath of fresh air.
Cons
I do sometimes miss working in an office environment so I guess this could be a 'con' for some people, however, the pro's of remote working enable me to achieve a great work/life balance.
